St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI), Bengaluru, has announced a vacancy for Project Technical Support III under the ICMR PORA MED ADHER Project. This is a community-based clinical research project focused on evaluating medication adherence interventions in geriatric patients on multiple medications.
This is an excellent opportunity for B.Pharm or M.Pharm graduates looking to build experience in clinical research, investigational product management, and community-based randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
The project will be conducted across three reputed centers:
- KEM, Vadu
- AFMC, Pune
- SJMC, Bengaluru
Approximately 700 elderly patients will be enrolled in a factorial design RCT evaluating a medical adherence mobile app and manual pill organizer.

๐ฏ Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the management of Investigational Products (IP) and clinical trial coordination:
- Undergo structured training at SJRI
- Manage receipt, storage, handling, dispensing, and accountability of Investigational Product (IP)
- Conduct temperature monitoring (if required)
- Perform participant randomization as per protocol
- Maintain IP accountability logs
- Maintain study-related documentation and forms
- Support medication adherence interventions in the community
- Address mobile app-related issues (digital literacy required)
This role demands both clinical research knowledge and patient interaction skills, particularly in elderly community settings.
๐ Eligibility Criteria
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs Degree in Pharmacy
- Experience in community-based studies
- Strong patient communication skills
- Ability to work from office and travel for field work
- Digital literacy (mobile app troubleshooting ability)
Preferred:
- Fluency in English and Kannada (Tamil desirable)
- Knowledge of clinical research ethics and public health studies
