The role focuses on study build, eCRF design, validation programming, and database quality control, ensuring on-time and high-quality clinical data delivery.
📌 Key Responsibilities
Study Build & Design
- Prepare eCRF specifications and annotated data capture instruments
- Develop screens and participate in sponsor design review meetings
- Create Edit Check Specifications
Database Programming & Validation
- Write validation and derivation procedures
- Develop test scripts and test data
- Perform quality control of study build activities
- Conduct peer review of test cases
Clinical Data Management Support
- Participate in study initiation and update meetings
- Inform Project Managers about progress and risks
- Train clinical sites on data entry conventions
- Support SOP development and process improvements
- Collaborate with IT for database design issues
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Life Sciences
- Pharmacy
- Related allied health profession
OR
- Relevant clinical database experience in lieu of education
💼 Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of clinical research experience in database maintenance
- Knowledge of SQL (Simple Query Language)
- Experience with EDC or Oracle Clinical databases
- Understanding of clinical data management workflows
- Strong communication and time management skills
