About the Role
As a Senior Research Associate in Peptide Chemistry, you will play a key role in the synthesis, purification, and scale-up of peptides. The position requires hands-on expertise in solid-phase peptide synthesis techniques and a solid understanding of organic chemistry principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform solid-phase peptide synthesis using automated and manual methods.
- Handle peptide purification, characterization, and scale-up processes.
- Troubleshoot synthesis challenges and optimize reaction conditions.
- Maintain accurate lab records, follow GLP/GMP standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to peptide-based drug development projects under the guidance of senior scientists.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (or equivalent).
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in solid-phase synthesis, preferably in peptide chemistry.
- Strong knowledge of peptide synthesis reagents, protecting groups, and purification techniques (e.g., HPLC).
- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as NMR, MS, and HPLC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
