Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and report on local and international trade laws, regulations, and metrics to maintain full compliance.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes, communicate updates effectively, develop best practices, and engage in advocacy where opportunities arise.
- Offer expert customs and trade advice daily, covering HS code classification, rules of origin, Incoterms, special customs procedures, export controls, sanctions screening, denied parties checks, and licensing.
- Lead communications and interactions with local Customs authorities as needed.
- Support key business projects by creating compliant trade solutions, including special economic zones, trusted trader programs, authorizations, and permits.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, particularly through Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), duty incentives, and other programs to reduce customs duties.
- Lead and participate in internal and external trade-related audits.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational processes and procedures for trade compliance.
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams to boost awareness and understanding of trade regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Customs, International Trade, Logistics, or a related relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in import and export operations.
- In-depth knowledge of customs and excise procedures in India, with strong familiarity in the APAC region.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and computer tools, including advanced MS Office skills and PowerBI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong networking abilities.
- Proven leadership, teamwork, high ethical standards, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as required for business needs.

Salary & Benefits
This senior-level role offers a competitive salary in the range of ₹15,00,000 to ₹25,00,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications), along with performance bonuses, health insurance, professional development opportunities, and other standard benefits typical for multinational companies in India.
