About the Role As Assistant Manager – R&D (Fluorescence Immunoassays), you will lead key aspects of assay development using cutting-edge fluorescence and CLIA platforms. The position emphasizes hands-on innovation, from nanomaterial synthesis to assay validation, in a collaborative setting aimed at delivering high-performance diagnostic products.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Development of bioassays based on fluorescence / CLIA platforms
- Synthesis of fluorescent nanomaterials and TM-based chelates
- Bio-conjugation of antibodies with developed labels
- Troubleshooting of existing assays
- Executing synthesis processes for fluorophores
- Assay verification, validation, and process transfer
- Optimization of development processes for immunoassays
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech or PhD in Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, or related fields)
- Experience: 5-8 years in development and optimization of immunoassays based on fluorescence/chemiluminescence techniques
- Strong background in assay verification & validation, and process transfer
- Expertise in immunoassay development, fluorescence/chemiluminescence platforms, bio-conjugation
- Experience in nanomaterial synthesis and fluorescent labeling is an added advantage
Salary and Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience, typically in the range of ₹8-15 lakhs per annum (INR) for similar R&D managerial roles in the diagnostics sector in Mumbai, plus performance incentives and standard industry benefits (health insurance, professional development opportunities, etc.).
