🔑 Key Responsibilities – Senior Clinical Data Manager I
As a Senior Clinical Data Manager, you will be accountable for end-to-end data oversight across clinical studies:
- Lead study-level CDM activities from start-up through database lock and closeout
- Establish and document data management plans, query workflows, and cleaning strategies
- Perform in-stream data review, lab data oversight, and third-party data reconciliation
- Collaborate with Data Management Vendors on snapshots, interim analyses, and migrations
- Track critical metrics (KPIs) and ensure adherence to project timelines
- Identify operational risks and partner with Study Data Managers to mitigate issues
- Ensure regulatory inspection readiness, including audit support and documentation review
- Drive compliance with Trial Master File (TMF) requirements
- Apply CDISC, SDTM, ADaM, and AstraZeneca data standards consistently
- Mentor junior clinical data management professionals and support continuous improvement
🎓 Qualifications & Experience Required
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in study-level Clinical Data Management (CDM)
- Strong knowledge of EDC systems, user access testing, and query management
- Hands-on experience with third-party data (central labs, imaging, devices)
- Expertise in data quality oversight, reconciliation, and documentation review
- Ability to manage vendors, metrics, and operational timelines
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM, Controlled Terminology)
- Experience with complex trial designs, interim analyses, or migrations
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve CDM operating models and vendor performance
