Key Responsibilities โ Pharmacovigilance Operations
As a Pharmacovigilance New Associate at Accenture, you will be responsible for end-to-end drug safety case processing in compliance with global regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Identification, intake, and creation of ICSR cases from multiple sources (mailboxes, gateways, intake workflows).
- Triage, prioritization, and processing of serious and non-serious adverse events (AEs, SAEs, SUSARs).
- Data entry and case management in global safety databases as per client SOPs.
- Medical and drug coding using MedDRA and WHO-Drug dictionaries.
- Drafting high-quality case narratives and medical summaries.
- Follow-up for missing or clarifying safety information from reporters or marketing companies.
- Submission and reconciliation of safety reports within regulatory timelines.
- Duplicate checks, case corrections, and case deletions as per SOPs.
- Monitoring and reconciliation of client safety mailboxes.
- Support for audits, inspections, and pharmacovigilance projects.
- Translation of source documents and case narratives when required.
- Archiving all safety-related communications in the safety database.
Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
- B.Sc. Nursing
- Bachelorโs Degree in Life Sciences
Skills & Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of pharmacovigilance and drug safety surveillance
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with MedDRA and WHO-Drug (preferred)
- Good medical writing and documentation skills
