Key Responsibilities – Executive Upstream Manufacturing
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following upstream vaccine manufacturing activities:
- Ensure facility readiness for internal, external, and regulatory inspections
- Preparation, issuance, and submission of documents to Quality Assurance (QA)
- Drafting and reviewing SOPs, MMDs, and regulatory technical documents
- Perform environmental monitoring (non-viable particle counting)
- Work independently across rotational shifts
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and technical issues with the Production Head
- Preparation and maintenance of WCB, MVS, and WVS
- Operation of upstream equipment for drug substance manufacturing
- Handle QMS activities including deviations, change control, CAPA, risk management, and incident handling
- Perform in-process analysis during batch operations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for uninterrupted manufacturing
- Execute production schedules efficiently with zero deviations
- Monitor equipment and facility maintenance with the engineering team
- Perform upstream operations for Influenza and Rabies vaccine production
- Manage cell factory operations and related activities
Qualifications & Experience Required
To be eligible for this Executive – Vaccine Upstream Manufacturing role, candidates should typically have:
- Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences (preferred)
- Experience:
- 1–5 years of experience in upstream vaccine or biologics manufacturing
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of cell culture, upstream processing, GMP, QMS, and regulatory documentation
- Other Skills:
- Ability to work in shifts
- Strong coordination and documentation skills
