This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on SAS programming experience, strong knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM), and a passion for clinical research and biostatistics.
As a Statistical Programmer II, you will work closely with biostatisticians, clinical data teams, and global stakeholders, contributing to high-quality statistical outputs across clinical studies while mentoring junior programmers. Key Responsibilities โ Statistical Programmer II
Clinical Studies & Projects
- Review clinical trial protocols from a statistical programming perspective
- Estimate programming timelines and support resource forecasting
- Develop and maintain SDTM and ADaM specifications
- Program SDTM, ADaM, analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings (TFLs)
- Perform peer reviews of datasets and specifications prepared by junior staff
- Ensure traceability, documentation, and adherence to programming standards
- Maintain study documentation, programs, and timesheets
Team & Section Responsibilities
- Participate in Statistical Programming, Biostatistics, and Biometrics meetings
- Mentor junior statistical programmers on technical topics
Tools, Standards & SOPs
- Contribute to SAS macros and company programming conventions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, corporate policies, and SOPs
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Masterโs degree in Life Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field
OR - Bachelorโs degree with 2+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical company or CRO
- Minimum 1โ2 years of SAS programming experience in clinical studies
- Strong knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM)
- Ability to work independently on technical programming tasks
