Key Responsibilities โ€“ Associate Medical Reviewer

As an Associate Medical Reviewer at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Perform medical review of clinical trial subjects to ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality data
  • Ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and adherence to ICH-GCP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify clinically significant outliers, trends, and inconsistencies in trial data
  • Collaborate with investigational sites, healthcare professionals, and internal trial teams
  • Present medical review findings to Medical Specialists for informed decision-making
  • Conduct centralized medical monitoring and support risk-based monitoring activities
  • Maintain thorough documentation to ensure inspection and audit readiness
  • Work cross-functionally with Data Managers, Trial Managers, and Statistical Monitors

Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

Mandatory Requirements

  • MBBS + MD (recognized medical degree)
  • 1โ€“2 years of experience in clinical practice or medical academics
  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and clinical trial processes
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology and clinical data review
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience or exposure to risk-based monitoring and clinical data systems

About the Department โ€“ Centralized Monitoring Unit (CMU)

The CMU Bangalore is part of Novo Nordiskโ€™s Clinical Drug Development organization. The team comprises:

  • Medical Reviewers โ€“ focused on patient safety and protocol compliance
  • Functional Programmers โ€“ building operational dashboards and visualizations
  • Statistical Monitors โ€“ detecting unusual data patterns and compliance risks

Medical Reviewers collaborate closely with Medical Specialists in Denmark, making this role highly visible and globally integrated.
