Roles and Responsibilities
As a Trainee in Quality Assurance, you will support the QA team in maintaining compliance and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring strict adherence to cGMP standards, GDP requirements, and factory safety rules.
- Issuing BMRs/BPRs/ECRs to the Production department as per procedures.
- Handling issuance and reconciliation of product labels, hard books, controlled formats, and seals.
- Assisting in reviewing vendor qualification documents, BMRs, and ECRs.
- Maintaining proper filing of QA records, including Approved Vendor Lists.
- Managing controlled documents through systems like ENSUR.
- Conducting routine shop-floor visits, line clearances, and area clearances.
- Supporting review of batch records, cleaning records, and archival of documents.
- Assisting in data compilation for Annual Product Quality Review (APQR).
- Supporting change controls, deviations, CAPA, and incident documentation.
- Participating in internal audits, self-inspections, and regulatory inspections.
- Following ALCOA+ principles in all documentation.
- Contributing to EHS initiatives and continuous improvement in QMS and GMP.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be eligible for this Trainee Quality Assurance position:
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemistry.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in QA/QC/Production in the pharmaceutical or API industry.
- Basic understanding of cGMP, GDP, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (preferred).
Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and eagerness to learn in a regulated environment.
