Roles and Responsibilities
As General Manager – Quality Control, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end Quality Control operations, covering raw materials, in-process, finished products, stability studies, and microbiological testing in compliance with FSSAI, USFDA (21 CFR Part 111), and WHO-GMP standards.
- Manage regulatory audits, customer inspections, and internal audits; ensure effective handling of OOS/OOT, deviations, CAPA, and change control activities.
- Drive analytical excellence through method validation/transfer, laboratory instrument qualification, calibration, and data integrity.
- Oversee stability programs, product quality trends, and timely release of materials and finished goods.
- Collaborate with QA, R&D, Production, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain teams to support new product development, scale-up, and export requirements.
- Establish strong QC governance, documentation practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure sustained regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Education:
- M.Sc / M.Pharm / Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 15-25 years in Quality Control within the nutraceutical / dietary supplement industry.
- With 5-7 years in a senior leadership role.
