We are looking for a dedicated Scientist – Downstream to drive innovation in purification processes for biologics.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a Scientist – Downstream at Sanzyme Biologics, you will play a key role in the R&D – Downstream Process Development team. Your primary duties will include:
- Designing and executing downstream purification experiments based on development stages
- Performing protein purification using AKTA systems and UNICORN software
- Handling advanced chromatography techniques, including Affinity, Ion Exchange (IEX), Hydrophobic Interaction (HIC), and Size Exclusion (SEC)
- Analyzing experimental data and preparing comprehensive development and validation reports
- Supporting small-scale and pilot-scale purification studies
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives for downstream processes
- Assisting in scale-up activities and GMP manufacturing support
Required Qualifications and Key Skills
To excel in this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- M.Sc or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in downstream process development
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in protein purification and downstream process development
- Proficiency with AKTA systems and UNICORN software
- Hands-on experience with TFF, UF/DF, and HPLC
- Strong knowledge of chromatography techniques (IEX, HIC, SEC, Affinity)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in purification process development and optimization
- Familiarity with GMP regulations and scale-up activities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
