About the Role

The position is part of the Compendial Development Laboratory (CDL) under Global Laboratory Operations. The Technical Associate will support USP’s mission to advance public health through trusted quality standards, analytical method development, and evidence-based laboratory practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project planning, execution, method development, and validation in alignment with USP general chapters, monographs, SOPs, and protocols.
  • Perform analytical method development and validation for small-molecule drug substances and drug products.
  • Prepare project plans, technical reports, and maintain laboratory documentation (Notebook/LMS).
  • Ensure strict adherence to GLP, safety standards, and data integrity principles.
  • Support monograph modernization initiatives and regulatory readiness.
  • Uphold Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) values at USP India.

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry (0–1 year experience).
  • Understanding of USP/NF monographs, general notices, and pharmacopeial standards.
  • Exposure to GMP/GLP/QMS environments and documentation practices.
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with analytical method development and validation.
  • Awareness of ISO/IEC 17025 (preferred).
  • Understanding of drug substances, drug products, and dosage forms.
  • Strong technical interpretation, analytical aptitude, and communication skills.

  • Broader industry exposure within pharmaceutical analytical sciences.
  • Technical writing and documentation excellence.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, diplomacy, and scientific accuracy.
