HCLTech has announced new openings for the position of Business Development Executive (District Support Staff) in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This is an excellent opportunity for MBA freshers with 2+ years of EdTech sales experience who are interested in education sales, field engagement, government liaison, and student outreach activities.

This on-site, contract-based role is part of the HCLTech TechBee Early Career Program, requiring strong communication skills and extensive travel within the district.


Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Executive (DSS), you will:

  • Plan and execute sourcing activities across assigned districts or clusters.
  • Build strong networks with government departments, educational institutions, NGOs, and community partners.
  • Coordinate with Education, Employment, Skilling & Welfare departments for outreach.
  • Conduct school/junior college visits to mobilize students and deliver awareness sessions.
  • Counsel principals, parents, students, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage district-level assessments, versant tests, interviews, and reporting.
  • Drive targets for sourcing and onboarding TechBee candidates.
  • Organize workshops with education officials and influencers.
  • Coordinate with partnered banks for student loan processing.
  • Participate in government-led events and district outreach campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate data on internal dashboards and monitoring tools.
  • Continuously engage with students and parents from lead generation to program start.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • MBA Fresher with 2+ years of EdTech sales experience (mandatory).
  • Strong communication skills and public-speaking ability.
  • Willingness to travel 3โ€“4 days/week within the district.
  • Ability to build stakeholder networks and manage field activities.
  • Energetic, self-driven, and comfortable with on-ground engagement.

Work Mode & Contract

  • Role Type: Contract Retainer (CR)
  • Work Mode: Work From Office
  • Working Days: 6 days/week
  • Travel: 3โ€“4 days per week (company reimburses travel expenses)
