Key Responsibilities – Peptide Process R&D Role
- Perform Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) and Liquid Phase Peptide Synthesis (LPPS) using automated and microwave synthesizers
- Develop and optimize robust, scalable peptide manufacturing processes
- Execute Fmoc/Boc chemistry, handle difficult sequences, modifications, and conjugations
- Troubleshoot synthesis, cleavage, and purification issues
- Lead peptide process scale-up and support GMP manufacturing of peptide APIs/intermediates
- Operate and interpret analytical data from HPLC, RP-HPLC, LC-MS, and other techniques
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, batch records, and technology transfer documents
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines (USFDA, EMEA)
- Mentor junior team members and drive innovation in peptide R&D
Qualifications & Skills Required
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry
- 5–14 years of hands-on experience in peptide synthesis (SPPS & LPPS)
- Proven expertise in peptide process development and scale-up
- Strong knowledge of Fmoc/Boc chemistry, purification techniques, and analytical methods
- Experience in GMP environment and regulatory documentation is highly preferred
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
