Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Microbiologist at Saipro Industries, you will:
- Conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples to ensure product safety and quality.
- Maintain and monitor microbial cultures and laboratory equipment for consistent performance.
- Perform sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and bioburden testing in line with pharmacopeial standards (e.g., USP, FDA).
- Support the development and validation of new testing protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Document findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and ISO standards.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to troubleshoot contamination issues and optimize processes.
Required Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a microbiology lab (pharmaceutical, food, clinical, or environmental sectors).
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques, microbial enumeration, and media preparation.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines such as USP, FDA, and ISO.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
