Key Responsibilities
As a Cell Culture Research Associate, you will:
- Maintain and expand mammalian cells, especially mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).
- Perform cell banking and cryopreservation with complete traceability.
- Ensure compliance with BIRAC, GMP, and organizational standards through proper documentation.
- Develop and optimize scale-up production protocols, including bioreactor culture and serum-free media adaptation.
- Conduct cell health assays (viability, proliferation, differentiation, senescence) and present findings.
- Train and supervise interns, technicians, and junior staff in cell culture techniques.
- Collaborate with research, QA/QC, manufacturing, and clinical teams.
- Manage inventory of consumables, reagents, and lab equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences.
- Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, cryopreservation, and stem cell handling.
- Familiarity with GMP/GTP and biotech quality systems is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
