Key Responsibilities
- Accurately code inpatient/outpatient records using ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 codes.
- Maintain 95%+ accuracy in code selection and sequencing.
- Abstract and index medical records for statistics and hospital reimbursement.
- Meet departmental productivity and coding deadlines.
- Attend coding meetings and education conferences for skill enhancement.
- Collaborate with hospital and departmental staff to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Participate in conference calls when needed to provide coding-related updates.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate degree in any discipline.
- Certified coder through AAPC or AHIMA — CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC (valid certification ID required).
- Freshers (0–1 year) and experienced coders welcome.
