Key Responsibilities

As a Real World Evidence Analyst II at Fortrea, you will:

  • Provide programming support for analyzing real-world data from sources like medical claims, hospital data, EHR, and prospective observational studies.
  • Develop and validate analysis datasets from various internal and external sources and file formats.
  • Contribute to programming specifications based on analysis requirements and source data.
  • Create and validate graphs and tables for exploratory data investigations, adapting to evolving analysis needs.
  • Ensure high-quality programming of analysis-ready datasets, tables, listings, and figures, including validation tasks.
  • Support documentation creation and maintenance for assigned deliverables.
  • Communicate timely and accurate status updates to project leads and team members.
  • Participate in department meetings to share insights and knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency in programming processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support Fortrea’s mission.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in RWE analysis within a CRO or pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR and claims databases (e.g., Optum, Marketscan, Flatiron).
  • Proficiency in SAS and SQL programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with programming languages like R and Python.
  • Expertise in handling big data, non-standard datasets, and complex data structures.
  • Strong skills in creating various graphs for data visualization.
  • Analytical mindset with robust logical thinking capabilities.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to gain expertise in real-world data from health insurance claims, retrospective analyses, manual chart reviews, prospective studies, and pragmatic clinical trials.
  • Solid understanding of advanced statistical and econometric methods in theory and practice.
