Role Overview
The Research Associate will support ongoing maternal health research at AFMC Pune, including clinical coordination, data management, study observation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Operations
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for study activities at AFMC.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investigators and collaborators.
- Track project timelines and resolve operational challenges.
- Travel as needed to meet stakeholders and support study activities.
- Observe clinicians using monitoring devices and collect usability insights.
- Coordinate with central teams to analyze device performance and usage patterns.
2. Study Design & Data Management
- Assist in structuring study design according to research objectives.
- Collect, evaluate, and validate clinical data as per study protocols.
- Ensure accuracy, data integrity, and proper data formatting for analysis.
- Conduct preliminary statistical and observational analysis.
- Summarize findings and prepare structured reports for internal review.
- Maintain ethical compliance, documentation, and regulatory standards.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily logs and site activity reports.
- Prepare interim and final research documentation, including case summaries.
- Submit weekly/monthly progress reports to the central research team.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Medicine
- Biosciences
- Biomedical Science
- Life Sciences or related fields
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in hospital or clinical research settings.
- Understanding of clinical study coordination.
- Proficiency in data tools (Excel, SPSS, Google Sheets).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
