Join Lilly’s Competitive Intelligence Team and contribute to impactful decision-making in drug development and R&D strategy. This internship offers you hands-on exposure to pharmaceutical analytics, secondary data research, and global collaboration across R&D functions.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Data Surveillance & Monitoring: Scout and filter relevant scientific and commercial data from open and subscribed sources.
- Reports & Analysis: Support in preparing Ad-hoc reports, Disease Landscape (DL), Target Reports (TR) under the guidance of senior team members.
- Conference & Investor Calls: Assist in preparing agendas and uploading content. Participate in IR call shadowing.
- Database Management: Regularly update internal target/disease landscape databases.
- Data Visualization: Present insights using Excel, PowerPoint with clear data interpretation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with CI teams across geographies.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure timely and error-free data submissions.

Conference Tracking | Assist in monitoring key scientific conferences (e.g., ASCO, AACR), collect presentations/posters, and report competitive insights. |
Investor Relations (IR) Monitoring | Attend and track IR calls of competitor companies, extract strategic insights (e.g., drug pipelines, trials, M&A). |
Database Management | Update internal CI dashboards and databases that summarize current competitive landscapes in various disease areas. |
Visualization & Presentation | Use MS Excel and PowerPoint to present CI data and insights clearly and effectively. |
Collaboration | Work closely with global CI teams to support R&D decision-making across geographies. |
🎯 Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Pharma / Life Sciences / Biotechnology
- M.E / M.Tech / M.Sc in Biotechnology with Immunology & Genetic Engineering is preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical trials, drug development, and pharma industry
- Hands-on with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Exposure to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is a bonus
