Job Description
Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies (Terumo BCT) is seeking a skilled Engineer/Senior Engineer for its Disposables – New Product Development (NPD) team in Trivandrum. This role is critical in advancing medical device innovation, ensuring compliance with global standards, and supporting product lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional and simulated use tests for medical devices, including test method development.
- Support design verification activities, including protocol and report preparation.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards (13485, 14971, 3826, 10993, 15223).
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for NPD.
- Coordinate prototype builds with cross-functional teams (Production, Procurement, Logistics).
- Maintain lab equipment and calibration records.

Eligibility Criteria
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, or related fields).
- 2–5 years in medical device development (disposables/equipment).
- Exceptional candidates with higher experience may be considered.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in medical device testing & verification.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and product lifecycle management.
- Strong collaboration skills for cross-functional projects.
