Job Description

Pfizer is seeking a highly motivated Intern with expertise in Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulation, Chemical Kinetics, and Mass Transport Modeling to join their team in Chennai, India. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge pharmaceutical research, focusing on reaction mechanisms, degradation studies, and predictive modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Collaborate with research teams to design, implement, and validate kinetic models.
✔ Perform molecular dynamics simulations and mass transport modeling for pharmaceutical applications.
✔ Conduct laboratory experiments to analyze reaction mechanisms and degradation pathways.
✔ Use MATLAB, Ansys ChemKin, Python, or other tools for regression analysis and predictive simulations.
✔ Apply machine learning and data mining techniques to pharmaceutical systems.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • M.Sc or Ph.D in Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biophysics, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong foundation in chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and reaction mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in programming (Python, MATLAB) and mathematical modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postdoc experience in degradation studies (small molecules/proteins).
  • Hands-on experience with kinetic modeling and reaction deconvolution.
  • Knowledge of mass transport in biological systems.
