Job Description
SCALE Healthcare is hiring a Senior Medical Coder – Multispecialty to ensure accurate coding of patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is critical in maintaining documentation integrity and optimizing revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign diagnostic (ICD) and procedural (CPT) codes accurately.
- Review medical records for coding compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify coding discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain high coding accuracy and productivity standards.
- Support audits and compliance reviews as needed.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Certification:Â RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)Â required.
- Experience: Proven background in medical coding (multispecialty preferred).
- Knowledge: Strong grasp of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
- Skills:
- Attention to detail & analytical thinking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field.
