Job Description

Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking a Medical Physician Specialist I to provide medical safety expertise for post-marketing surveillance of drugs, devices, and combination products. This is a full-time remote position based in Mumbai or Pune, offering an excellent opportunity for medical professionals to work in pharmacovigilance and drug safety.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Conduct primary medical review of adverse event cases, assessing seriousness, causality, and labeling.
✔ Ensure accurate coding of adverse events and narrative reviews.
✔ Maintain case data trackers and workflow management tools.
✔ Meet quality, compliance, and productivity SLAs/KPIs.
✔ Provide medical guidance to case processing teams (after 1 year of tenure).
✔ Support signal detection and aggregate reporting activities.
✔ Foster a customer-centric culture in pharmacovigilance operations.

Qualifications & Experience

✅ Bachelor’s degree in medical science, MD, DO, or equivalent.
✅ Working knowledge of medical sciences, diagnosis, and drug therapies.
✅ Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements in clinical research.
✅ Language Proficiency:

  • Speaking: English (ILR Level 3+)
  • Writing/Reading: English (ILR Level 4+)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of clinical practice experience.
  • Prior experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety is a plus.
