Job Description
Precision Medicine Group is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join their team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (On-Site). This role involves providing comprehensive MedDRA and WHODRUG coding support for clinical trial data management. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and study-specific plans while working in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Perform medical coding (MedDRA & WHODRUG) to ensure consistency and accuracy in clinical trial data.
✔ Conduct quality control checks on coded data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
✔ Collaborate with coding teams to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables.
✔ Assist in coding dictionary upgrades (UAT) and maintain proper documentation.
✔ Train and support team members on coding standards and study-specific requirements.
✔ Generate coding status reports and metrics for project tracking.
✔ Review and resolve coding-related queries in alignment with Data Management Plans.
✔ Contribute to the development of SOPs and process improvements for coding activities.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Data Management within clinical research.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in medical coding (MedDRA & WHODRUG).
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/healthcare-related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in oncology or orphan drug clinical trials.
- Background in clinical, scientific, or healthcare disciplines.
