Job Description: Analytical Development Scientist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytical Development Scientist to join our analytical chemistry team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods to support our research and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Method Development and Validation: Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods using various techniques, primarily High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC), for the analysis of pharmaceutical compounds and related substances. This will involve method design, execution, data analysis, and report writing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, USP) throughout the entire analytical method lifecycle. Maintain meticulous documentation and adhere to strict quality control procedures.
- Analytical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot analytical problems, investigate method deviations, and implement corrective actions. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to maintain the integrity of analytical data.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other scientists within the R&D department, including formulation scientists and project managers, to achieve project goals. Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Technical Writing: Prepare clear, concise, and accurate technical reports, including method validation reports, stability reports, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: M.Pharm, M.Sc. (Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry), or B.Pharm with relevant experience.
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience in an AR&D (Analytical Research and Development) environment within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Technical Skills: Extensive experience in HPLC and GC method development and validation. Proficiency in using analytical instrumentation, data analysis software, and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) is essential. Familiarity with other analytical techniques such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, titrations, and other relevant methods is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH guidelines, USP) pertaining to analytical method validation and pharmaceutical quality control.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effectively communicating technical information to colleagues and stakeholders.
