Responsibilities in Job

As a Medical Writer – Medical Information at Cactus Communications, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, client-ready scientific, medical, and educational content. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Writing, proofreading, and data-checking scientific materials such as manuscripts, slides, abstracts, posters, medical information letters, and literature reviews.
  • Collaborating with pharmaceutical clients, healthcare professionals, authors, and key opinion leaders to create impactful scientific content.
  • Attending client and external meetings to support senior team members and gain insights into medical communication trends.
  • Developing creative digital content, including infographics, interactive assets, patient narratives, and website content.
  • Ensuring compliance with client requirements, style guides, and internal SOPs.
  • Staying updated on industry developments to enhance content quality and scientific accuracy.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Medical Writer – Medical Information role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Background: PhD/MD (Pharmacology), PhD (Life Sciences), PharmD, or MPharm/M.Sc with a strong understanding of clinical research and medical communication.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in scientific writing within an agency or biopharma environment.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of biostatistics, literature reviewing, and evaluation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, networking abilities, and excellent attention to detail.
