Key Responsibilities in the Role
As a Study Sample Analyst, you will play a critical role in drug research and analysis. Here’s a breakdown of the responsibilities:
Study-Related Activities:
- Perform sample extraction using wet chemistry techniques.
- Handle laboratory equipment like centrifuges, evaporators, and specimen freezers.
- Conduct sample aliquoting and wet chemistry procedures following study protocol and SOPs.
- Maintain accurate records, including completing QC sheets and making logbook entries.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced instrumentation, including HPLC, LC/MS/MS, and ICP-OES, and perform minor repairs.
General Lab Duties:
- Prepare required reagents and solvents for various procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to perform method development as directed.
Administrative Duties:
- Adhere to the training schedule for your position.
- Maintain updated knowledge of SOP content as per company requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- B.Pharma in Pharmacy
- MS/M.Sc in Organic Chemistry or Chemistry
- M.Pharma in Pharmacy
- Experience: 1 to 4 years in a similar domain.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment like pipettes, centrifuges, vortex mixers, pH meters, and evaporators.
- Strong understanding of wet chemistry instrumentation and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with advanced analytical tools such as HPLC, LC/MS/MS, and ICP-OES.
- Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
