Responsibilities in the Job

As a Medical Engagement Associate (MEA) at Indegene, you will work closely with the Patient Support Program (PSP) team to support patient enrollment and ensure adherence to prescribed therapy. Your responsibilities include:

  • Counseling Patients: Offer guidance to patients for improved health outcomes based on pre-defined touchpoints.
  • Report Adverse Events: Ensure the reporting of any adverse events or market complaints following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Patient Engagement: Connect with patients at regular intervals as defined in the program touchpoints to track and ensure adherence to therapy.
  • Compliance Management: Monitor and ensure patient adherence to prescribed therapy, while managing their compliance with the program.
  • Financial Deviations: Review and secure approvals for any financial deviations as necessary.
  • Empathy and Support: Demonstrate empathy while providing patient support, coordinating with other stakeholders as required.
  • CRM Tool Management: Ensure accurate patient data entry in the CRM tool as per the brand’s requirements.
  • Handling Patient Queries: Address patient queries and provide responses from pre-defined FAQs to ensure patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Medical Engagement Associate role, the ideal candidate should have:

  • A B. Pharma, BSc, or any similar life science degree.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in patient counseling or a related field, with a focus on healthcare or therapy adherence.
  • A working knowledge of MS Office for efficient data management and communication.
