Key Responsibilities
As a Product Specialist, you will be integral in driving success in the assigned region by:
- Achieving Sales Goals: Meeting regional product sales targets and handling key strategic accounts independently.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrating molecular, cellular, and protein workflows to customers through wet lab demos and troubleshooting customer queries.
- Workflow Experience: Handling imaging, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and western blotting workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Aligning product priorities with regional sales numbers and working closely with sales teams.
- Market Analysis: Analyzing sales reports, identifying performance issues, and suggesting remedial actions.
- Tender Management: Collecting tender information, ensuring proper pitches, and maintaining a record of wins/losses.
- Training & Presentations: Conducting training sessions for internal teams, channel partners, and presenting at scientific forums, technical seminars, and product launches.
- Lead Generation: Organizing roadshows, workshops, and other marketing activities to generate leads.
Qualifications for the Role
- Education: MSc or PhD in Biological Sciences with a strong understanding of advanced life sciences workflows. (PhD not mandatory.)
- Experience:
- 2-3 years of customer-facing experience as an Application Specialist, Product Specialist, or Product Manager.
- Expertise in imaging, flow cytometry, and advanced molecular workflows.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong sales acumen with technical expertise in life sciences workflows.
- Ability to analyze market data and plan strategic actions.
