Key Responsibilities

As an SMA 1 at ICON plc, youโ€™ll play a vital role in supporting clinical research operations:

Trial & Site Administration

  • Track essential trial documents and safety updates
  • Maintain CTMS databases and study trackers
  • Coordinate labeling, translations, and supplies
  • Collate and distribute study tools and manuals

Document Management

  • Prepare, distribute, and archive clinical documents
  • Support eTMF reconciliation and QC checks
  • Update patient manuals, diaries, and instructions
  • Manage Investigator Trial File (ITF) binders

Regulatory & Site Start-Up

  • Support IRB/ERC and regulatory submissions
  • Track study insurance certificates
  • Publish study results per local regulations

Budgeting & Payments

  • Collaborate with finance on site budgets and contracts
  • Track negotiations, agreements, and payments
  • Monitor compliance and assist with budget closeouts

Meeting Planning

  • Organize investigator meetings and site events
  • Manage vendor coordination and logistics

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • B.A./B.S. in Life Sciences (preferred) or equivalent healthcare qualification

Experience:

  • 2โ€“4 years in clinical research, regulatory, or healthcare-related roles

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP and GDP
  • Excellent MS Office and CTMS tools skills (advanced Excel preferred)
  • Fluent English and local language communication
  • Effective time management, accountability, and teamwork
