Responsibilities in the Project Assistant, IDEA Role
The Project Assistant, IDEA position is critical to the smooth functioning of multiple clinical trials. The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Administrative Support: Assist Project Managers with the administrative aspects of each study, including developing project-specific documents such as Procedure Manuals and Staffing Plans.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, study sites, and Clinical Research Associates (CRAs). Communicate study-related information effectively to all stakeholders.
- Project Reporting: Assist with the preparation of project reports and provide updates on study status.
- Meetings & Teleconferences: Help schedule meetings, manage agendas, and take meeting minutes. You may also be responsible for performing teleconferences in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Study Centre Management: Oversee the management of study supplies and outstanding data, ensuring smooth coordination with study centres.
- Training & Assessment Coordination: Organize and schedule site Imaging Manual training sessions and review offsite assessments.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality control of offsite assessments and blinded reads, maintaining high standards.
- Project Tracking: Update and maintain Project Tracking information and study files, including enrolment logs and data status.
- Audit Preparation: Assist with preparing for audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Project Assistant, IDEA position at ICON, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field is required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of administrative experience in clinical research.
- Language Skills: An advanced level of English is required to communicate effectively with international teams.

- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues located in different international locations.
