Responsibilities in the Scientist III Role
As Scientist III in qNMR, you will drive innovations in pharmaceutical and chemical analysis. Your role will contribute to the advancement of NMR technologies for R&D while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Below are the core responsibilities:
- qNMR Research and Method Development
- Conduct studies to evaluate parameters of NMR impacting quantum mechanics (QM) analysis.
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods using high-field NMR and qNMR technologies.
- Publish research in white papers, application notes, or journals.
- Collaboration and Innovation
- Support ongoing studies to expand USP’s digital NMR spectral database.
- Provide technical guidance on product development and integrate NMR innovations into USP’s offerings.
- Collaborate with academia and industry professionals to enhance public standards.
- Project and Data Management
- Create and execute detailed project schedules and experimental plans.
- Ensure data integrity through troubleshooting and risk mitigation processes.
- Review scientific literature to support emerging qNMR applications in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food industries.
Qualifications Required for Scientist III Role
USP is looking for candidates with solid expertise in NMR and qNMR. Below are the required qualifications:
- MSc or M.Pharm with 6-8 years of experience in NMR, qNMR, and method development.
- PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (with NMR and quantum mechanics expertise) is also welcome, including fresh graduates.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in analytical method validation and NMR modeling using quantum mechanics.
- Familiarity with HPLC and other analytical techniques.
- Proven ability to independently conduct research with a focus on GLP compliance.
- Knowledge of spectral library/database development and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus.
