Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Coder or Senior Medical Coder at Vee Healthtek, you will:

• Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards.
• Handle coding for specialties like IP DRG, E/M, Surgery, and Radiology.
• Meet daily productivity and quality targets for coding accuracy.
• Collaborate with the QA team to maintain high standards in medical coding.
• Prepare and maintain status reports for client deliverables.

For Medical Coder Trainees:

• Learn medical coding standards and processes under expert guidance.
• Assist in coding patient charts and support senior coders.

Qualifications

To qualify for these roles, candidates should have:

• For Experienced Coders:
  • 1–7 years of experience in medical coding.
  • CPC, CCS, COC, or CRC certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate coding.
• For Freshers:
  • Graduation in Life Sciences or Medical Sciences (B.Sc., B.Pharm, etc.).
